Penny-Lee your professionalism and efficiency were exemplary in all the organizing with Western Power -even calling me up at 8 pm at night to keep me informed of progress – thanks so much. Derek your guidance in the type of system perfect for us was much appreciated. All this and at a great price too. Hats off to you all at PSW – keep up the good work. We now watch our smart meter via our portal just pumping out the power.

Most residential 6.6 kW solar arrays installed in Canning Vale on a 5 kW inverter will qualify for Synergy’s solar Feed-in Tariff named; DEBS (Distributed Energy Buyback Scheme).

Western Power doesn’t allow single-phase solar inverter capacity greater than 5 kW output. Synergy excludes solar inverter capacities that exceed 5 kW output capacity from the Distributed Energy Buyback Scheme. 

Most leading inverter brands state that their inverters can endure solar array oversizing by up to 50%. The Clean Energy Regulator has had its say on this topic and capped the oversizing of solar inverters to 33%.

Therefore, 5 kW Inverter capacity x 1.33 = 6.6 kW of solar panels.
