Solar: Balance of Materials (BoM) Guarantee
Guidance for Perth Solar Warehouse ‘Balance of Materials’ guarantees associated with a common format inverter and [a nominated amount] solar panel installation to the electricity grid. Shall be interpreted in conjunction with the complete ‘Solar: Balance of Materials (BoM)’.
Purpose: A comprehensive Balance of Materials (BoM) Guarantee ensuring essential intermediary manufactured items [not considered a major item] that may only carry a one-year guarantee are useful for a minimum of 10 years without defect and guaranteed by Perth Solar Warehouse.
Duration: 10 years
Classification: All other intermediate hardware used within a solar energy system installation unless specified. Including but not limited to: conduit, cable, fixings, isolators, circuit protection, mounting enclosures and solar panel mounting hardware.
Notable exclusions: Modification work performed other than Perth Solar Warehouse authorised personnel; other electronic monitoring components; energy storage devices (see battery guarantee); electric vehicle (EV) charging equipment (see EV Charger guarantee); Balance of Materials (BoM).
Battery: Installation Workmanship Guarantee
Guidance for Perth Solar Warehouse installation workmanship guarantees associated with energy storage installations connected to the grid. Shall be interpreted in conjunction with the complete ‘Battery: Installation Workmanship Guarantee’.
Purpose: An industry-leading workmanship guarantee period aligned to the average solar battery manufacturer warranted period (10 years).

Purpose: A comprehensive Balance of Materials (BoM) Guarantee ensuring essential intermediary manufactured items that may only carry a one-year guarantee are useful for a minimum of 10 years without defect. Resulting in a high-level intermediary item guarantee by Perth Solar Warehouse.
Duration: 10 years
Classification: All other intermediate hardware used within a solar battery installation unless specified. Including but not limited to: conduit, cable, fixings, isolators, circuit protection, mounting enclosures and battery mounting hardware.

EV Charger: Installation Workmanship and Balance of Materials (BoM) Guarantee
Guidance for Perth Solar Warehouse installation workmanship and intermediate hardware guarantees associated with electric vehicle charging equipment installations. Shall be interpreted in conjunction with the complete ‘EV Charger: Installation Guarantee’.
Purpose: An industry-leading workmanship and Balance of Materials (BoM) guarantee period aligned with leading EV Charger manufacturer warranted periods (5 years).
Duration: 5 years
Classification: All electric vehicle charging systems supplied and installed by Perth Solar Warehouse.
Notable exclusions: Modification work performed other than Perth Solar Warehouse authorised personnel; the installation of: other electronic monitoring components; solar energy equipment (see solar guarantee); energy storage systems (see Battery guarantee).
Other: Installation Workmanship and Balance of Materials (BoM) Guarantee
Guidance for Perth Solar Warehouse installation workmanship guarantees associated with ‘Other’ major item installations supplied and installed by Perth Solar Warehouse. Example: Inverter replacements, system modifications.
Purpose: Other equipment installation guarantees that match the manufacturer’s guarantee towards a no out-of-pocket expense warranty claim.
Duration: Product defined. 5 years minimum, no greater than 15 years.
Classification: All other major items supplied and installed by Perth Solar Warehouse not listed above.

The fault or defect is a result of: (i) something done by you or someone else, and not us or our contractors; or (ii) something beyond human control that occurred after installation, e.g., an extreme weather event; (iii) the System being misused, abused, neglected or damaged after installation; (iv) the System being maintained other than in accordance with the Maintenance Documents; or (v) the System being repaired, modified, reinstalled or repositioned by anyone other than a service technician approved by us in writing.
